Last (in June 2005), 26 National and International organisations in Pharmaceutical Sciences joined together in the new EUFEPS initiative to create a novel meetings concept. Each strand of pharmaceutical science had its own programme, including 700 scientific contributions. Many delegates, a vibrant exhibition and many sponsors added to the opportunities for cross talk and interaction.
It was a success!

A growing number of organisations committed to engage for 2009, and clusters for collaboration have also been formed. An attractive programme is coming together. New flavour is added by a Young Scientist Meeting and a Careers Forum.
In mid June on the French Côte d’Azur, the climate is very pleasant. The Nice-Acropolis Convention Centre is an ideal venue for the 2nd PharmSciFair.
You must be there!

Dear Colleagues

It is a pleasure for us, the Planning Team, to welcome you all to the 2nd Pharmaceutical Sciences Fair and Exhibition in Nice, France, which is an excellent location. We wish to assure you that it is a very important meeting, as a broad partner representation of 40 different national and international organisations and networks has actively contributed to putting the appealing scientific programme together. In addition to the expanded programme, compared to the 1st PharmSciFair in 2005, there is a Careers Forum and a Pre-Satellite Young Scientists Meeting. The 2009 PharmSciFair is a collective undertaking at all levels.

We are convinced of the need to carry the pharmaceutical sciences forward in both formal and informal settings, enabling all partners to think and consult together and to share experiences. PharmSciFair is to be understood as a mechanism for scientific deliveries, which will allow us to understand the different approaches, perspectives and sensitivities among the different players represented by people from academia, industry and regulatory. Building on the strengths of each and every actor, it ensures a consolidated movement towards common goals and targets. It creates synergy within the array of different disciplines.

At the Opening Session, a prestigious group of influential leaders will contribute to a common vision of pharmaceutical sciences, in both the short and the long term. The pharmaceutical science as a multi-faceted concept is reflected in the programme of this event, which is wide-ranging in terms of content, activities and participating partners.

Therefore we urge you all to participate in the 2009 PharmSciFair and to invite your colleagues to do so as well!
