Welcome
It is a pleasure for us,
the Organising Committee, to welcome you all to the 3rd Pharmaceutical
Sciences Fair and Exhibition. This event for the first time in Prague
is co-organised by EUFEPS and a broad partner representation of 40
different international organisations and networks involved in Pharmaceutical
Sciences.
The pharmaceutical world is changing dramatically, and an appealing
scientific programme has been put together to address the future of
Medicines. In addition Young Scientists Meeting is being organised
during the 2011 PharmSciFair.
We are convinced of the need to carry the Pharmaceutical Sciences
forward in this kind of global event, enabling all involved to think
and consult together and to share experiences. The 2011 PharmSciFair,
with around 1000 expected delegates, will allow us to understand the
different approaches, perspectives and sensitivities among the different
players in Pharmaceutical Sciences represented by delegates from academia,
industry and regulatory. Building on the strengths of each and every
actor, it ensures a consolidated movement towards common goals and
targets and creates synergy within the array of different disciplines,
all having the objective to better serve the Health.
At the Plenary Session, a prestigious
group of influential leaders will contribute to a common vision of
Pharmaceutical Sciences, in both the short and the long term.
The Pharmaceutical Sciences, as a multi-faceted concept is reflected
at this event, which is wide-ranging in terms of scientific content,
activities and participating parties.
You must be there and invite and welcome your colleagues join as well!
Yours sincerely,
Dr Alain Cuiné
Chair of the PharmSciFair Organising Committee
The EUFEPS President, Professor Clive G. Wilson
(University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, Scotland UK):
Why should you and your organisation be at PharmSciFair?
It is important to be visible in the key European pharmaceutical
science forums.
Together we can make PharmSciFair a stand-alone structure, which
is the ‘Olympia’ of pharmaceutical sciences.
Unnecessary competition must be avoided with regard to topics
of interest, requests for funds and research initiatives; PharmSciFair
will be the location to meet, discuss and plan together.
We should encourage the best talent in Europe to thrive; your
organisation holds the key to this.
EUFEPS wants to see a powerhouse in Europe able to match other
international organisations at the equivalent level.
Partnership of equals can only occur if there is a strong, well
organised interaction between national and regional organisations
which are of relevance to pharmaceutical sciences.
We need instruments such as PharmSciFair to introduce partners,
foster future interactions and generate a European ideal.
1st, 2nd or 3rd PharmSciFair Partner Organisations
The Organisers would like to thank the below Partner Organisations
